UPDATE: It is with a heavy heart that the Scotland Missing Report shares that according to the Greater Glasgow Police Division the body of Sean Blakey has been discovered.
Inspector Kevin Lammie said today: “Around 1450 hours on Thursday March 9, 2017, the body of a man was recovered from the River Clyde near Kingston Bridge. The body of the man has formerly been identified as missing man Sean Blakey and relatives are aware. Our thoughts are with Sean’s family and friends at this time. A post mortem examination will take place in due course, however there would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal”.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: GLASGOW — The Govan Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 30 year old Sean Blakey out of the Glasgow, Scotland area.
Sean was last seen on February 23, 2017 around 2130 hours by a family member at his home in Harley Street, Cessnock when he left to go out.
He never returned and on Friday his family reported him missing to police.
When last seen he was wearing a dark grey jacket, dark jeans and red, white and blue coloured training shoes.
Extensive enquiries have been carried out to find Sean, however all attempts to locate him have so far proved unsuccessful.
Inspector Smith said: “We have been checking CCTV footage for any additional information on where Sean may have gone. His family and friends are understandably concerned for him and just want to know he is safe and well. I would ask anyone who has seen Sean or anyone who has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact us.”
Sean is described as:
• Gender: Male.
• Height: 6’2.
• Weight: Medium Build.
